Bilingual Certification Exam Preparation

Classroom Instruction
Welcome to the exciting journey of Bilingual Education.  The strength in Bilingualism does not come from that allusive programs that promises to alleviate all the barriers that exist, but recognizing that those barriers are not barriers at all but tools that need to be sharpened.  English learners bring with them an extensive tool chest of tools that they have yet to be taught how to use.  We are inviting to take this journey with us and learn how to teach English learners how to use those tools that they already have with them.  Take this journey with us and invite others.

Learn best practices that will promote students to use their cognitive abilities.  English learners are thinking in two languages and their brains are overloaded with different modalities of thinking, bring strategies into your classroom that will focus their thinking and in turn bring that cognitive flexibility to the forefront.  That barrier that we see as not being able to speak English, is a gem waiting to be mined.  English learners experience cognitive dissonance when they feel their home language is being taken from them.  The approach has to be different.

Join us in this journey and use authentic materials written in the target language to make learning relevant in a bilingual classroom.
