What is DEX, and why use it?
Containing thousands of standards-aligned resources, Discovery Education Streaming (DES) provides you with the tools to teach your students to think critically about the content they use, see, and experience in their daily lives and to ask questions about the world around them. In support of standards-based instruction, DEX is centered around the student experience.
Enhance your lessons with thousands of media resources!
Discovery Education Streaming provides teachers and students access to a library of more than 200,000 standards-aligned resources. From videos and video segments to audio files, songs, audiobooks, podcasts, virtual field trips, STEM lessons, formative assessment tools, and more! Formative assessment tools include Ask Live Quiz and Video Quizzes. Standard Quizzes continue and include enhanced question types such as drawing or audio recording responses. Other new resources include Sesame Learning, Marzano Academy, Vooks (storybooks brought to life), DEmystified (science), and Phenomenal Science!
Microsoft's Immersive Reader enhances differentiation and accessibility. Activities in DEX Studio that use Immersive Reader support text-to-speech, closed captioning, native language translation, and more.

Discovery Education Coding Discovery Education Coding provides completely self-guided lessons for students to learn block coding, HTML, and Python. Students will gain a secure understanding of coding concepts like algorithms, sequences, and variables, as well as develop computational thinking skills through decomposition, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. And best of all, students will be able to demonstrate their creativity by creating their own apps and sharing them with their classmates!

Extend Your Learning
Help your schools get the most out of Discovery Education with our self-paced interactive eLearning courses. Educators can complete these courses on their own time and earn a completion certificate to submit for continuing education credits.
